Turnaround day 🛳

Hurray, it’s turnaround day! (One I actually don’t mind!) We are back in Southampton and have been welcomed back by typical English weather; rain. What happened to the heatwave? It was fairly turbulent and rocky at sea last night, so perhaps it followed us back to shore.

Thankfully there’s no tiring inductions to sit through today and I’ve even had time for a shop around Southampton this morning. Yes I did treat myself to a new watch!

I’m on registration today which means I have to sign up the new children coming onboard. This cruise we have a mighty 36 children onboard ranging from the ages of 0-17 yrs. Compared to the 500+ I’m used to, it’s fair to say that it’s going to be a quiet cruise.

The three Cunard ships are all docked in Southampton today: Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2. The Red Arrows are treating the guests to a ‘fly over’ sail away show at around 7pm tonight. Oh wow I hear you say, but you guessed it, I will be working. I’m going to try and ask to see some of it.

Well, that’s all for today. Keep a look out for blogs from the second cruise of the summer where I will be visiting Norway, Iceland and Belfast.

Chow for now 🙂
