With spending so much of my summer break away from home, I thought about starting a blog. Completely new to the idea – well and truly a newbie in the blogging world!
Currently, I’m sat gazing at the planes coming and going from Terminal 3. People going on many different adventures and I’m ready to embark on mine! Skipping the standard ‘airport beers’, I’m enjoying a coffee and a cake in the airport lounge. A real concoction of excitement and nerves this time – it’s my sixth voyage. Why?! I don’t know anyone on this cruise, but that doesn’t bother me. Plenty of friendly faces will arrive along the way, including mine!
Some people think I’m crazy spending the summer break (designed for a good detox from the rigorous education world) at sea. Yes I will be working. Every day. With kids. But what’s more detoxing than exploring new places, riding the waves and watching the spectacular sunrises and sunsets? In my eyes anyway!
After all, as a Key Stage Two Teacher term time, I am programmed to read and recognise fronted adverbials, several other types of clauses and a range of punctuation – it’s never reading for pleasure! What better way to keep ‘in tune’ with the ‘expected standard’ than writing a blog. (Fellow teachers, I hope that brought a dreary smile to your face. From now on, there will be no mention of the words expected or greater!)
Anyway, let’s get down to business and start blogging. I hope you’ll follow my journey along the way and enjoy my life at sea for the next four weeks (and a bit!) just as much as I will.
Let’s the craze begin!
Oh wait, delayed flight…

Go for it girl. Have a great time. X
